SP72 - Augusta 20th 2009 - I feel another review coming on
There is something about adult movies animated movies that just makes everything better. Of course I'm talking about
Heavy Metal, the 80's movie with tits, violence, and the magnificent and coveted silver beaver. I first saw this movie at a
sleep over in Vermont when i was 9 years old, and it has stuck with me ever since. So whenever you're ready...

SP73 - Saptimber 4th 2009 - The importance of the book revealed!
Yeah, so, if you all did not know, ill fill you in: I'm writing a book. Well i can't say I'm writing it by myself, as I'm writing it with a friend of mine, Morgan Hallett. The title of the
book is called "Syntax Error". Its about a couple of teenagers getting caught up in a plot to overturn the computer and game industry in 1983, the feud between IBM and Apple, and
Atari's fall from grace. As most of these things happened, to put our characters Geoff and Caitlin into the middle of it, hold them responsible, is pretty taxing on ones knowledge of the
Video Game crash of 1983. The book takes place in Sunnyvale California, the location of IBM and Atari's headquarters. Apples super advance in technology threw everyone off, but
the cost of their product was too much on the wallet, so the Apple Lisa went bust, where IBM picked up the pieces with their star of the show, the IBM/XT. Both computers retail for over
$10,000 back then, just so you know.
So channel your inner Wargames, and turn on your 80's music and break out your crazy pastel collared shirts. Everything is this book is 100% true to early 1980's style and history,
listing brands, locations, schools, people, and dates, accurate to the day they happened.
I had a dream actually, which is how all good ideas start. I had in the dream, pictures, computers, dates, everything down to the end of the story, but missing all the middle. When
i woke up, i had no way to express the idea on paper well enough without writing a book about it. Not having anyone to vent to who would want to hear what i have to say, i unloaded
on the next best thing, a new employee, Morgan. He listened to every stupid word i had to say, computers, places, things happening. When i was finished my tirade, he flipped over the
back of an order sheet and started to draw out a time line, helping with events and characters, fleshing out my story. That night i wrote the first chapter with no sleep, and Morgan had
already began the second. Syntax Error was born.
We put a lot of energy into this book: time, money, our lives, and we stand by what we write and truly believe it is going to be something for us and others. To further steer the book
in the right directions we only use Open Source programs to make it, from conception to design. Keeping it free for us, well help keep costs down and make the book cheaper to buy
later on. Ill write more about now, until then, click the link, and check it out.
